Simple methods to combat pests in your vegetable garden

Organic gardeners always prefer to use methods that have less impact negative impact on the environment. By growing strong healthy plants we eliminate the threat of having large-scale invasions of parasites. But when some pest populations build up in our garden we must ask "how I can encourage more predators?" rather than "What should I do about all these pests?
